This is the old ringer on our back porch. It’s an old metal phone bell. After into the house. I decided to clean it. it was covered in cob webs. I cleaned it off took parts off and cleaned more. Thinking it was the door bell I kept pushing the button but it never rang. Then a few days later I was out back when there was a loud metal clanging sound. I went to the front yard nobody there. I went inside and there was a new message on the answering machine. “heys that a phone bell” before analog and digital phones that’s what phones sounded like. And sometimes I hear the same ring used as a ringtone.
