I’ve been offline a few days while I was at the ren faire. I was at the Dragon days renaissance faire at Hidden Hollow park in Cookeville, TN. Hidden Hollow is a park with the usual features hiking, fishing, and Volley ball courts. But it also has a Mill House, a petting zoo, and a lights tour. We arrived After dark and the lights were on the were skaters in the lake and the hill top had several characters made of lights.
This is the wheel from the Mill house.

Vist Hidden Hollow, tn for more plus my site,Renaissance Faire Pictorial, Where I will be posting more photos and information.
So I was working out, was throwing punches so fast the bag caught fire. or a few months ago I plugged in the hot light without looking at my surrounding. Yeah which story is better?
When I snapped this shot the was a pop and a wisp of some from the Flash but it seems to be working. Faire season starts this weekend. The camera must work.

Happy Earth day. I tried to go to the Greenway today. The Battlefield entrance is still closed due to the tornado. Lost of trees sheared in half.

This is the SUCBA shop in Murfreesboro. They have a beautiful ocean mural on their wall.

It’s day 100. I was hoping to find something cool for this milestone. I found something oldish. I’ve had this car for several years. An older gentleman that lived on the street next to us gave this to me when I was young. It was fuel powered and need a guide wire to travel on.

Good ideal for any photographer especially those involved in the 365 project.
This is the honey suckle vine in our yard. If you ever want to make wind start on a calm day try to do a macro shot of a plant. I’ll see if I can remember that next time it gets hot at faire.

Friday and Saturday I was Rivers and Spires Festival in Downtown Clarksville. I was enjoying the festival and admiring some of the beautiful downtown architecture, When I found another reason this city is cool. They have a statue of a Photographer. I was photographing the Montgomery County Courthouse and turned around a was face to face with Nora Witzel.
Nora Witzel is recognized as one of the first women in Clarksville to have “broken the glass ceiling”
professionally in what was then most certainly a man’s world. She documented the landscape and architecture of the area. PDF on Lenora (Nora) Witzel
